Tooth-Colored Fillings
A small filling today prevents a bigger problem later. Our fillings match your natural teeth, so no one will know they’re there.
Why Treat Cavities Early
Cavities don’t heal on their own. They grow, usually without pain until they’re large. A small cavity needs a small filling. Waiting can turn it into a crack, a crown, or worse. Treating it early keeps more of your natural tooth and costs less.
Composite Fillings
Our fillings are made of tooth-colored composite resin, shaded to match your tooth and bonded directly to it. Because composite bonds to the tooth, we can often remove less healthy tooth structure than a traditional metal filling would need.
What to Expect
We numb the tooth, remove the decay, then place and shape the composite and harden it with a curing light. Most fillings are done in a single visit, and you can eat normally once the numbness wears off.
Replacing Old Fillings
Older fillings can crack, wear down, or leak at the edges, letting new decay start underneath. If one of yours is failing, we can replace it. If too much of the tooth is gone for a filling to hold, a crown may be the better option.
