COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update

We know you may be tired of hearing what every. single. business. you’ve ever had contact with is doing about COVID-19, but it’s our turn to be that office and let you know how we’re handling things as we begin seeing patients in our office again. All these guidelines are in accordance with federal, state and local regulations (you can see the list of who is calling the shots for us at the bottom of this page). Our awesome patient experience is going to look a little different for the foreseeable future. It’s hard for us, but it’s necessary. We’re just really excited and grateful to get back to work taking care of your family’s oral health! Scroll down to see what to expect at your next visit, then give us a call or visit our “book an appointment” page to schedule.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep everyone safe and healthy:

  1. Your Visit: Our lobby is closed, and we need to ask you to come to your appointment alone (except minors with a guardian or those with special needs that have been addressed with us ahead of time). When you arrive for an appointment, wait in your car and call our office to let us know you’re here. We’ll ask you a few on-the-spot questions about any symptoms of illness you may be currently experiencing. If you’re good to go, one of our team members will come get you when we’re ready for you. We’ll need to take your temperature before you enter the building, but it’ll be a quick swipe of the forehead. We’ll also have to ask you to sign a liability waiver regarding our office and COVID-19. We need to recommend that you to wear a face covering at all times in the office except while we’re working inside your mouth. It’s up to you; feel free to bring your own, or we’ll have one available for you. You may also have limited comfort menu options for the time being.
  2. Our Team: We look a little different — picture masks, gloves, gowns, hair coverings and even face shields for certain procedures. We’ll all still have the same friendly smiles, but they’ll be covered up for now. You may also notice an extra team member working with your hygienist from time to time if suction is needed.
  3. Our Office: Our office is going to be spit-shined over and over throughout the day. Okay, not spit-shined because that would defeat the purpose, but you get the point. We’re a dental office and always prone to some “gross” stuff, so we’re used to major sanitation. We’ve kicked it up a notch by scheduling patients further apart to avoid patient-to-patient contact and to give our team ample time to sanitize treatment rooms and clerical areas between each patient.

We hope you know that we take our job seriously — both our job to care for the oral health of our Cincinnati family and our job to protect the health and well-being of our team and patients. We promise to do everything in our power to continue your great experience within the necessary parameters and to keep you safe and healthy. These are the organizations whose guidelines we must follow:- Center for Disease Control (CDC)- Governor DeWine and Dr. Acton- Ohio Department of Health- American Dental Association (ADA)- Ohio State Dental Board- Ohio Dental Association (ODA)- OSHA And if you made it this far, we reward you with this picture of Dr. Brooks’ quarantine project — he grew an impressive beard in the first six weeks we were closed. It’s gone now, and may never reappear, so this too is history-making.
