Implant Crowns

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth. We design and place the custom abutment and crown that complete it, so it looks, feels, and chews like a natural tooth.

How an Implant Comes Together

An implant is built in two stages. First, a specialist places the implant post in your jawbone, where it bonds with the bone over a few months of healing. Then we attach a custom abutment to the implant and top it with a crown made to match your other teeth. The finished tooth stands on its own, without relying on the teeth around it.

Working With Your Specialist

If you need an implant, we’ll refer you to a trusted local specialist for placement and coordinate with them through the process. Once your implant has healed, you come back to us for the abutment and crown. If a specialist has already placed your implant, we can restore it.

Implant or Bridge?

Both replace a missing tooth. A bridge is anchored on the neighboring teeth, which have to be crowned to support it. An implant leaves those teeth untouched and helps preserve the bone where the tooth was lost. We’ll talk through which fits your situation.

Caring for Your Implant

Implant crowns can’t get cavities, but the gums around them can still become inflamed. Brush and floss around your implant like a natural tooth and keep up with your regular cleanings so we can keep an eye on it.
